Gran Hotel Diligencias Veracruz, Veracruz

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. On the bright side, the location was fantastic, right in the heart of the historical center in Veracruz, perfect for exploring the sights. However, the constant noise from the air conditioners in the room was a bit of a nuisance throughout my stay.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. Although the room wasn't ready on time, it was eventually clean and safe with a small secure safe for valuables, which we appreciated. The service was exceptionally courteous and welcoming, especially Frank at reception. The hotel's central location facing the Zocalo was convenient, but it meant noisy nights until late. The dining experience was impressive but struggled with the volume of people. Overall, I found some aspects great and others lacking.

The hotel offered a large, clean room with an excellent view of the Zocalo and the sea, but there were delays in room readiness. The hotel was very loud at times, despite our efforts to adjust the sound. The service, especially from Bellboy Antonio and Dora the cleaning lady, was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for exploring historical sites and enjoying Mexico's nightlife right at our doorstep.
